Hey there! Allow me to introduce myself, I’m Steffani: a Yooper, blogger for 2 1/2 years, Vegan, Interior Design student with a passion for sustainability and learning to be a minimalist. I’m so happy you found my blog!
Couple things to know about me:
- I’m a lover of coffee, whiskey and swing music
- Wife to my amazing husband, Doug
- Mom to 3 dogs and 3 cats
- Advocate for animal rights
- I’m a yogi wannabe
- I’m in the process of transforming our small starter home into one we love right now
My blogging journey started in 2015 when I was browsing on Pinterest for ways to make a couple extra bucks at home while I wasn’t working, and it started with Back to Roots Living. The name has changed twice since then to now, Fresh Coast Living, which represents the beautiful place I’m from: the coast of Lake Superior.
I truly believe that the environment around you impacts your ability to succeed. I know this from experience and am looking forward to sharing my story with the determination to help others. Interior Design is so much more than making a space look pretty. Don’t get me wrong, visual appeal and reflection of style is very important, however, your space can actually help you thrive.
The blog is an outlet — a way for me to connect with people and teach others about the benefits of living Green, minimalist and cruelty-free. Not only can you leave less of a carbon footprint, you have the power to create a healthier, safer place to be for you, your family, pets and friends. My goal is to help others live in a way that is respectful to Mother Earth, all of her creatures and the future of our children. I read a quote once that stopped me in my tracks and I wish I could remember where it was from. If you recognize it, please let me know so I can give credit… it went something like this:
We are not entitled to the resources we were given by our ancestors but rather, we are borrowing them from our children.
What you can expect from the blog:
- Vegan recipes
- Ways to live healthy, mindful life
- How to build a sustainable, cruelty-free and healthy home for your family and furbabies
- How to love your home now
I look forward to sharing my journey with you and am always open to suggestions, so please don’t hesitate to contact me with requests of topics you’d like to see on the blog.
